Drew McIntyre is one of most popular WWE superstars as we speak. It seems that the 37-year-old Scottish professional wrestler clearly enjoys his time in and out of the ring. Already a two-time WWE Champion, McIntyre’s future in the industry looks bright and already he has achieved quite some recognition.

In a recent WWE UK video, McIntyre starred alongside Welsh musician Tara Bandito to promote the Clash at the Castle premium live event. The two-time WWE Champion revelaed something interesting about what Mr. McMahon suggested him. Drew McIntyre revealed that Vince McMahon was involved in the naming of his signature WWE weapon. McIntyre said that McMahon wanted his sword to be named “Angela”, which the 37-year-old wrestler appreciated a lot.

He said,  “It was actually my boss, Mr. McMahon, Vince McMahon’s idea. We were trying to think of a name for the sword and I was thinking Bonnie, like Bloody Bonnie or something, like The Widowmaker… something ridiculous, something proper wrestling-like. He was like, ‘What’s your mother’s name?’ I went, ‘Angela.’ He went, ‘Would you like that?’ I went, ‘I would love that.’”

Since 2020, the Scottish Warrior has been carrying a five-foot Claymore to the ring. Angela, the WWE Superstar’s late mother, was the inspiration for the sword. She died in 2012. Drew McIntyre has previously grappled with mental health difficulties. In September, McIntyre is expected to face Roman Reigns at WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff. We’ll have to wait and watch when the corporation decides to organize the feud.
