WWE is returning to India for a massive event this year in the month of September. The WWE Superstar Spectacle will be held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday, September 8, 2023. The company’s social media accounts confirmed the much-anticipated news, leaving fans exuberant.
Tickets for the WWE Superstar Spectacle are available for pre-registration on Book My Show. The window for booking tickets will open on Friday, August 4, at 12 p.m. IST. WWE organized the Superstar Spectacle last time during the Thunderdome Era, which aired on India’s Republic Day. It was a pre-recorded show exclusively for the WWE Universe in India.
Many superstars of Indian origin are showcased on the poster. Although no matches have been announced yet, there are many prominent stars advertised for the show, including Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, and Sami Zayn. The likes of Veer Mahaan, Shanky, and former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal are also set to appear at the Superstar Spectacle.
Expect plenty of action and quality to be showcased at the event. According to WWE’s official announcement, Sony Sports Network will be live telecasting Superstar Spectacle. This will mark the first major show to take place in India since 2017 and the first-ever in Hyderabad.
Last time WWE came to India for a show
The upcoming WWE Superstar Spectacle won’t be the first time the Stamford-based company comes to India. A special Live Event was held on December 7th, 2017, named Live India Supershow.
The King of Kings, Triple H, took on the Modern-Day Maharaja, Jinder Mahal in the main event. The show was held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi. Other marquee bouts that took place were The Shield vs. The Bar and Samoa Joe, and Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks.
The audience that attended the event was full of high praise for the action that they had witnessed. Now, almost six years later, the company returns to the country as enthusiastic fans gear up for the WWE Superstar Spectacle.
