WWE legend Goldberg has been a controversial name in professional wrestling. He has been one of the top stars in WWE at one point in time. However, WWE might have developed quite a bit of friction with the superstar. Besides the two parties being at loggerheads, WWE sent a surprising message to Goldberg on his birthday.

WWE Hall of Famer delivered some hateful remarks for Vince McMahon recently. It seemed that he might have had some animosity toward WWE. However, keeping all the controversy aside, WWE wished Goldberg a happy birthday.

Goldberg has had some friction with Vince McMahon after he was screwed with his retirement match in WWE. As per the superstar, he was asked to put Roman Reigns over in Saudi Arabia in return for his retirement match in WWE. However, he was denied the opportunity by McMahon.

It looks like the former Universal Champion is desperate for a retirement match. The last wrestling match he had in WWE was against Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia. It will be keen to see where the future of the superstar is headed in search of a retirement match from professional wrestling.

Goldberg and Sting are two of the biggest names in professional wrestling. In an interview, Goldberg praised the Icon big time. He made some bold statements for the WWE Hall of Famer as he talked about Sting’s retirement match as well.

In an interview with Steve and Capital Evil, Goldberg said that Sting was the reason he got into sports entertainment. He added that he wanted to be a part of his retirement match, as both stars are WCW legends. Moreover, he praised the icon, saying he was a normal guy who achieved abnormal things in professional wrestling.

Sting is the reason why I broke into the business. Sting set a great example. He's about to retire. I tried to be part of his retirement match. I would not have chosen to get into the world of professional wrestling if it wasn't for Sting. He was a normal dude who went out and did abnormal things.

Sting is all set to have a retirement match at AEW Revolution 2024. As per some rumors, Goldberg might have some involvement during the event and might be the one to face Sting at the pay-per-view. Only time will tell if AEW signs Goldberg to have a once-in-a-lifetime classic matchup, as the two stars have not shared the ring since 2000.
