Just when LA Knight‘s theme hit the FedEx Forum in Memphis last night, the crowd exulted. However, their bash turned out to be a short-lived affair, as it wasn’t Knight who actually came; instead, The Miz impersonated him. For real, the A-Lister succeeded in his attempt to mock the attendees. As soon as he got into the ring, the LA-inspired Miz started to tear apart his nemesis.

The former WWE Champion said he got a little base in his voice tonight. After yelling Knight’s catchphrase as much as he could, he proclaimed that anyone is capable of doing a recycled cadence, much like Knight. The Awesome One then brought out a bag with LA Knight‘s merchandise. He teased throwing them into the crowd in every part of the arena until he changed his mind and decided not to.

After having enough, Miz got rid of LA Knight’s t-shirt and reverted back to his own version. He even promised to expose the 40-year-old upon their outing at WWE Payback this Saturday. This rivalry has reinvigorated those serious vibes from The Miz, which have been dormant for quite a while. After Knight’s last week diss of The Miz on SmackDown, the A-Lister had to give it back.

Their singles match at Payback will likely be an entertaining affair. It’s a great opportunity for both competitors to put on a wrestling clinic, aside from proving their respective points. Neither superstar has wrestled a singles match at a premium live event for long. Needless to say, the PPG Paints Arena will be rumbling in euphoria this weekend for Knight vs. Miz.

LA Knight already mocked The Miz at a recent live event

During this past weekend’s live event, Knight cut yet another promo on his upcoming opponent. As they say, actions speak louder than words, and Mr. Knight proved it. He provided a practical demonstration of Miz’s dancing skills, which had the fans dying of laughter. A glimpse of that video can be seen below.

And, for what it’s worth, LA Knight has already figured out what he’s eyeing beyond The Miz. On SmackDown Lowdown last week, the former Eli Drake said that after putting Miz away at Payback, he would continue his quest to the top. It’s clear once he seemingly drops Mike on his face that Knight’s moving on. Also, with John Cena returning to WWE programming full-time, they could eventually cross each other’s paths.
