The Miz has had an illustrious role in WWE, and certainly when he retires, he will be a Bonafide WWE Hall of Famer. The Miz proved this during his in-ring career in WWE, as he performed week-in and week-out, doing everything he was asked for. It’s not just the comical shticks that he did along with John Morrison, his serious heel roles in 2007 as WWE was despised by every fan, as he was able to draw heat out of them.

The Miz is a 2-time, an impressive 8-time Intercontinental champion, a 2 times United states Champion and overall, an 8-time tag team champion. Other than that, he was involved in some great feuds in his career against the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan and John Cena. The Miz feuded with John Cena on two occasions as a heel and certainly showed his promo-skills going toe-to-toe with the Cenation leader.

While speaking to Ryan Satin on his Out of Character podcast, The Miz revealed his favorite moments through his WWE Career in the WWE during the 2010’s. In the interview he spoke about main-eventing Wrestlemania 27, which also involved John Cena as his opponent and also The Rock playing a key role in it and all his close friends by his side on the ringside:

“WrestleMania 27, I am standing in the ring with the WWE Championship and I look over and look to my left, and my 10 friends, who were in my living room watching The Rock and Austin for the second time they headlined WrestleMania, and there I am headlining with the title and I’m going up against Cena and The Rock’s a part of it, and I’m looking over at them telling them, like, dude, we did it, we all did it. Without them and their support, they probably wouldn’t be there”.

He goes on adding that his friends and Family believed in him and supported him in every part of his life:

“It takes a lot of support and a lot of positivity from your friends and family to get to where you want to be. You’re going to get a lot of no’s, a lot of, ‘Nah, that’s not going to happen.’ But your friends and family who really, truly support you and love you, they’ll go, ‘I may not believe in it, but if you believe in it, I believe in you.’ And that’s sometimes all you need.”

While most of us have never noticed it, The Miz is an overall 8-time intercontinental champion, only behind Chris Jericho who leads him with 9 reigns under his belt. He was the one to be credited with legitimizing the title once again in 2017, when Brock Lesnar served as a Part-time champion and it was The Miz who brought back the Intercontinental championship in its full glory during that time and making it the top championship to be contended for during that time period. It certainly would be befitting for The Miz to not only equal this record of 9 title reigns but also maybe surpass it in the near future.
