“R-Truth was a fun tag team partner”; The Miz reminisces Survivor Series 2011
The Miz has come from being a rookie in the WWE to being a Certified A lister not only in WWE but also in Hollywood as well. The A lister was involved in some great mid-card and main-event storylines throughout his career and proved time and that he will always be the WWE’s go to man no matter what the role.
The Miz being a heel has certainly taken some finishers from his opponents, in order to get a babyface over, and certainly he has given some himself in a match where he portrayed a babyface character. Talking about his favorite moments, The Miz opened up on him taking an elbow from The Rock and his arrest in Cleveland:
“Taking The Rock’s Peoples Elbow at Survivor Series when he hasn’t come back to wrestle in like eight years,” The Miz said. “Being able to be in that first match, being able to be trusted with that match, me and R-Truth — Truth was a fun tag team partner, we had a blast. I got arrested in Cleveland and thrown out of the building, it was amazing. We had so much fun, and then to be able to go up against Cena and The Rock in Rock’s first match back?”
The Miz goes on to remember that his childhood dream of becoming a superstar came true:
“To be able to take the People’s Elbow was incredible because I remember being on the ‘Real World’, going, ‘What do I want to do with myself?’ And looking on the shelf and there’s a Rock action figure, and saying, ‘I want to be a WWE superstar.’ Here I am 15 years later, in the middle of the ring, in Rock’s first match back in eight years in a sold-out MSG. It’s insane.”
What is next for The Miz in WWE:
The Miz made his return to the WWE in 2021 and was involved in a high-profile match with Edge. After that he was involved in a feud, accompanied by Logan Paul, against The Mysterios and the feud ended at WrestleMania 38. The Miz turned on Logan Paul after the duo won the match and maybe WWE is willing to continue the storyline after The Miz is finished with his current smaller feuds on RAW. The match will definitely be good, given Miz’s in-ring and promo skills and we have seen a glimpse of Logan Paul at Wrestlemania 38 and it is safe to say that the YouTuber can definitely move inside the ring.
