The Undertaker is one of the greatest wrestlers ever to step in the squared circle. The Undertaker is the quickest and most athletic of all the big guys in professional wrestling; his battles with Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels are masterpieces. For much of his career, The Undertaker didn’t talk in the ring, but he was unquestionably good on the mic during his “American badass” gimmick. When it comes to marketability, the Undertaker is unrivalled, having captivated audiences for over 30 years. The reaction of the crowd, when the gong hits is still unparalleled, and “The Deadman” has always been and will continue to be a huge selling point.

The Undertaker is the longest tenured wrestler in WWE at 30 years. Taker is one of the most prolific performers in WWE, having headlined numerous Live events with headlining the WrestleMania a total of 5 times in his illustrious career. “The Deadman” has been a four-time WWF/E Champion, three-time World Heavyweight Champion, Hardcore Champion once and six-time World Tag Team Championship. The Undertaker unveiled his final persona “The Unholy Trinity,” which was a blend of The Deadman, American Badass, and himself as Mark Calaway, at WrestleMania 36. The Deadman faced AJ Styles in an isolated rural setting, which was influenced by cinematic storytelling and was termed as the “Boneyard match.” The Undertaker would defeat Styles and win his 25th WrestleMania bout despite the interference of Gallows and Anderson. The Deadman then buried Styles in an empty grave.

As of right now, this was “The Undertaker’s” last professional wrestling match. Thereafter, he made his retirement official since he was unable to perform at his original level and didn’t want to let the crowd down with a mediocre match. Taker had made his debut at the Survivor Series in 1990 and made his formal retirement from the ring in November 2020 at the Survivor Series, which was precisely 30 years later. He made his appearance at the end of the Survivor Series and gave an emotional speech, and concluded by saying “My time has come to let The Undertaker Rest in Peace.”

Recently, The Undertaker gave an interview to Peter Rosenberg of A&E Biography. He said that his narrative with Kane is perhaps the best wrestling story ever told and has many depths to it. Taker added that he and Mick Foley engaged in many creative endeavors during their feud but The four encounters, two with Shawn Michaels and two with Triple H, are among the finest efforts of his career.

“The Kane and Undertaker story is probably the greatest story ever told in wrestling. It’s up there [his rivalry with Kane]. There’s so many layers to it. I think probably – it’s hard not to say my rivalry with Mick [Foley], I mean we did so many innovative things. But to tie everything together, the four matches that I had with with Shawn – the two with Shawn and then the two with Triple H, I think are probably some of the best work that I did in my career. And to be able to tell a story for over four years, four WrestleManias in a row – because if you watch it, you know one leads into [another].”

The Undertake made appearances on the entrance stage on both the nights at WrestleMania 38.
