The Undertaker is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. The Undertaker evolved his in -ring ability through the years and was better than most guys. “The Deadman’s” performances looked good each and every time he stepped in the squared circle. The Deadman had a great in-ring psychology, and everything he did felt purposeful.
The undertaker was the first wrestler to use an over-the-top persona with a fascinating mystery. Everyone wanted to learn more about him and figure him out. When that was combined with his unrivalled talent, we got an amazing wrestler. The Undertaker Persona is everlasting. The Phenom has been a main eventer since his WWF/E debut and has always held that position. Taker was never truly despised by the public the way so many others have been.
The Undertaker fought his last match against AJ Styles
The Undertaker fought his last match against AJ Styles in a Buried Alive match. The bouts are his specialty and are recognized to correspond with his gimmick. The match took place at an unidentified cemetery and warehouse in the Orlando vicinity. The bout was termed as “Boneyard Match” and was heavily influenced by cinematic narrative. The Undertaker defeated AJ Styles despite the interference from AJ’s O.C. teammates Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
Towards the end of the match, The Phenom brought AJ Styles to the cemetery, where Styles pleaded him not to be buried. The Undertaker helped styles to get up, hugged him, complimented him for his efforts, and promised him he would not bury him. Taker then pretended to walk away before turning around and kicking AJ into the grave. After that, The Deadman started the tractor and threw all of the dirt into the grave, burying Styles to win the match.
The Undertaker made his retirement official when he appeared at the WWE Survivor Series 2020. Taker had made his debut at the Survivor series 1990 and this appearance marked his 30 years in the company. The Phenom gave an emotional speech and concluded in his style by saying “My time has come to let The Undertaker Rest in Peace.”
Back in 2021, The Undertaker had stated that he would want to return to the squared circle, but that his Physical condition would not allow him to do so and that he has accepted the truth that he cannot compete at the level that he once did. He had also stated that he doesn’t want to disappoint the fans with a poor performance.
In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, the Undertaker indicated that he has completed his goal in professional wrestling but also stated that “never say never.” He said that he has no desire to enter the squared circle again but is unsure whether he would ever wrestle again.
“Just the fact you asked that question, mission accomplished, you never say never. I don’t have aspirations of ever stepping into the ring again, but this is the WWE, man. You never say never. You just never say never.”
The Undertaker appeared at the entrance at WrestleMania 38 on both the days of the event.
