“It’s just an honor to be in there” – When Theory recalled his golden time being in a storyline with Vince McMahon
Theory alongside Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania 38
Theory recently climbed to the mountain top and retrieved the Money in the Bank contract to become the youngest briefcase holder in the concept’s history. Although many internet fans weren’t thrilled to see the former United States Champion being pushed this hard by the management, everyone has to accept the reality and the truth is the era of “A-town down” is upon us. I would even say that whenever WWE tries to create some new stars like Theory, they get a backlash from the fans as to why they’re not focusing on their major stars but this has to be done for the better future of the company in the long run.
Theory arrived on Raw around October of last year initially having a brief feud with Jeff Hardy where both men were involved in a series of matches. After that at Survivor Series, Friday Night Smackdown’s Jeff Hardy eliminated Monday Night Raw’s Theory from the Raw vs. Smackdown 5 on 5 traditional elimination match after putting him through a Swanton Bomb.
Following the event, WWE started a Cleopatra Egg storyline which was to promote The Rock’s new movie the Red Notice and the price of which was told to be around $100 million on Television. The Egg got stolen from Vince’s table and he ordered Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to find the culprit out as soon as possible but they couldn’t. Next night on Raw, Theory was revealed as the culprit behind the Egg’s being misplaced and Vince slapped him right into his face.
The storyline somehow drew eyeballs on the weird duo of McMahon and Theory and people started to recognize him as Vince’s new boy. Over the next few weeks both men appeared in various backstage segments where Vince was seen giving some advice to Theory and in turn asked to impress him with his in-ring abilities. Finally when Theory managed to become the United States Champion by defeating Finn Balor, the boss Vince McMahon himself came out clicking selfies with his handpicked protege seemingly earning his long awaited respect.

Theory called Vince McMahon as the “Mount Rushmore” of sports entertainment
Prior to having his Wrestlemania match this year against Pat McAfee, the former United States Champion Theory had an interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp where he revealed various insights of working with Vince McMahon calling himself to be “honoured” in being able to do so and he also praised the work ethics of Vince McMahon in the process. Here’s exactly what Theory had to say upon McMahon,
” It’s definitely an experience of its own just because you know the work ethic he has and the passion and everything he puts into this. So for me, going in there, you gotta be on your best and give it everything that you got. It’s just an honor to be in there. We all know Vince McMahon’s on the top of that Mount Rushmore for sports entertainment,”
Following his fantastic showing at Wrestlemania, reports said that Vince McMahon sees a young John Cena in Theory and they will make sure to push this man to the moon. It remains to be seen how far this young kid can go from here.
