“Didn’t know this until it happened” Tommaso Ciampa on authentic surprise from Triple-H
Tommaso Ciampa is the undisputed biggest star of the black and gold era of WWE‘s NXT brand. He recently fought his last match for the NXT against Tony D’Angelo at Stand and Deliver. ‘The Blackheart’ is a 2-time NXT champion and feuded with the likes of Jhonny Gargano, Adam Cole and Karion Kross.
In his final match for NXT at Stand and Deliver Ciampa paid tribute to Shawn Michaels and Triple-H and in the conclusion of the match Ciampa was in-turn surprised by Triple-H who gave Ciampa a proper send-off. As Tommaso Ciampa revealed to BT Sport on Twitter, he was completely unaware of Triple H embracing him after his last match.
“Yeah, it was totally a surprise, and I guess I will say, and I didn’t know this until it happened, I guess I’m easy to surprise. I won’t say I’m gullible. That’s different. But I’m easy to surprise, just in the sense I don’t – I’m very in the moment. I’m very now”.
The Blackheart also said that it was the first time Triple-H had been seen in front of the crowd since his heart complication:
“And then I see him and I had that moment of, ‘Oh, we’re doing the thing. OK.’ So, I had no idea. And I was – I also think it was so far out of my realm of thought because – and I might be mistaken but I think that was the first time he was seen in front of crowds since having his health complications. So, I would’ve never thought the first time he’d be in front of a crowd was just to come out and give me a hug and raise my hand.”
What is next for Tommaso Ciampa?
Ciampa recently had a match on the Main-Event where he turned out victorious. Now that he is on the main roster, there are plenty of dream-feuds that Ciampa can have.
Talking to Metro Uk Ciampa said:
“Whether it’s Edge or Rey Mysterio, I’ve never really had a singles match with AJ Styles, done stuff with Roman Reigns. There’s so many – you can just go down the list forever and ever.”
