Top WWE Star credits her success in the company to CM Punk’s wife AJ Lee

WWE superstar Bayley has been one of the top performers in the company. She has had a successful career on the main roster, winning multiple championships. Recently, she broke her character in order to show gratitude to former WWE Superstar AJ Lee on Twitter.
On the occasion of ten years of the remarkable match in NXT, a video of the same has been surfacing on the internet. Bayley shared the video with a caption, saying, “I owe a lot to this match and to this woman.” She nostalgically recalled her match with AJ Lee and penned a beautiful message for the latter.
The video shows a young Bayley with her original “Hugger” gimmick. The gimmick was highly over among the fans, especially children. The former Women’s Champion also mentioned the fact that her high confidence and her evolution as a person are due to the presence of AJ Lee. She has credited Lee for her success and wrote that she owes a lot to the match.
AJ Lee has been a role model for many female superstars. One of them is also the current NXT superstar Cora Jade, who has acknowledged this in multiple interviews. However, many of her fans still anticipate her return to the squared circle. On the other hand, Bayley is currently involved with her faction, Damage Control.

Bayley responds to Mercedes Mone’s heartfelt message
Bayley recently took to Twitter to respond to a heartfelt message by her good friend Mercedes Mone. Mercedes, who was formerly known as Sasha Banks, has been good friends with Bayley. The former WWE superstar recently shared an image of the iconic 30-minute Iron Woman match with the caption saying, “Let’s do this again someday.”
Bayley interestingly responded to the message, saying she couldn’t wait. It’s been eight years since the iconic Iron Woman match in NXT. Mercedes Money is currently signed with NJPW. It will be interesting to see whether she returns to WWE in the near future.
During her time in WWE, Mercedes Mone won a lot of championships. She has been a fierce rival to many current WWE female superstars such as Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. However, Sasha Banks left WWE due to her backstage altercation with Vince McMahon.
