“You can do that all day,” Triple H invites Philadelphia 76ers’ star for WrestleMania 40 after he gets fined $35,000 for inappropriate D-Generation X celebration

On October 29, the Philadelphia 76ers clashed with the Portland Trail Blazers. Although the team scored a massive 126-98 victory over the latter, its center, Joel Embiid, NBA fined him a hefty 35,000 dollars. An indecorous D-Generation X-esque celebration was the reason for the fine. After the news broke out, WWE CCO Triple H invited the NBA sensation to appear at WrestleMania 40.
While the NBA boards deem Embiid’s gesture inappropriate and obscene, Triple H feels otherwise. Hunter took to X and retweeted a post confirming that the 76ers player was fined $35,000 for his obscene gesture. In his quote, he graciously invited the Philadelphian center to appear at WrestleMania 40. The Show of Shows will happen in Philadelphia in 2024.
Referring to Showcase of the Immortals, the WWE Hall of Famer said that he knows a perfect place where he can do the crotch chop all he wants. Inviting the NBA superstar to WrestleMania 40, Triple H highlighted that Mania will emanate from Philly in the coming year. Furthermore, the NBA confirmed that the incident took place with hardly 2 minutes and 14 seconds left in the third quarter.
Hey @JoelEmbiid - I know a place where you can do that all day, and everyone will love it. @WrestleMania 40 is right there in Philly...Triple H on X
Moreover, this is not the first time the NBA superstar has done D-Generation X’s crotch chop during the season. Last year, Embiid did the same signature taunt during the 76ers’ match against the Brooklyn Nets. Nonetheless, it appears that the star hasn’t learned anything from the last time.
Joel Embiid reacts to Triple H’s gracious invitation for WrestleMania 40
Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid was recently charged a thumping 35,000 dollars owing to his supposed improper gesture during the game. The NBA superstar might be on the wrong side of the NBA board, but WWE’s CCO Triple H seemed pretty chilled about it. The Game went ahead and casually invited the NBA star to WrestleMania 40.
Embiid responded to Hunter’s tweet in a few hours. Quoting Triple H’s tweet on X, the 29-year-old admitted that he would love to appear at The Showcase of the Immortals. However, his tight schedule won’t allow him to do so, per Embiid. He politely declined Hunter’s invitation, citing a lack of available dates during WrestleMania season.
Yes sir!! I would love to but I don’t think I’m gonna be in Philly for that… #NFLJoel Embiid’s reply to Triple H
WrestleMania 40 will likely be on April 6 and 7 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, the 76ers have a game against the Miami Heat and Memphis Grizzlies between April 5 and 7. Thus, the NBA star said he would be out of town. It will be interesting to see Embiid show up in any of the future WrestleMania or other PLEs when his schedule is cleared up.
