WWE and UFC are set to merge under Endeavor to form a new company, TKO Group Holdings. It is a whopping $9.3 billion deal that will revolutionize both sports giants. A recent SEC filing revealed the side of the Stamford-based promotion’s board members, as the deal will be finalized in mid to late-September.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Vince McMahon and Nick Khan have been included on the Board of Directors. However, a key member missing from the listed names was WWE CCO Triple H. Even though the eleventh position is yet to be filled, it seems highly unlikely that The Game will be included in it.

Triple H has been serving on the Board of Directors of WWE since 2015. A year ago, the Hall Of Famer became the Chief Content Officer (CCO) of the promotion after Vince McMahon retired. However, the 77-year-old returned in a short span of time and regained the position he had held for almost forty years.

The report had fans worried about the future of The Game. Some have even speculated that this is a sign that his status in the merger is less significant than they believed. This implied that he wouldn’t have a vote in the major business decisions of WWE after TKO is officially formed.

During the SummerSlam post-show press conference, there was a bit of controversy. A wrestling journalist, Bill Apter, asked WWE Chief Content Officer (CCO) Triple H a question regarding Austin Theory’s position on the card.

He asked why the United States Champion was in the Slim Jim Battle Royal instead of competing for his title at the show. The WWE CCO gave an unserious response to that question. As a result, it was found “disrespectful” by some of the other media personalities present there. However, Bill Apter rebuffed the claims.

He revealed that there is a relationship between them where they get a few laughs in. “I just want to set the record straight. He was not disrespecting me one bit,” Apter further added. Moreover, these conferences are always a medium for superstars and guests to openly express themselves. Therefore, seeing them joke around here and there shouldn’t be considered anything serious.
