The second match of SummerSlam 2023 saw Brock Lesnar square off against Cody Rhodes. Most of the match saw Lesnar’s sheer dominance over Rhodes. But as the momentum shifted to Cody’s side, he secured his victory by giving three Cross Rhodes. After the rollercoaster match, WWE Universe witnessed an unexpected moment as Brock showed a sign of respect for Cody. Triple H has spoken about this wholesome gesture from The Beast and revealed that it was unscripted.

During the post-SummerSlam Press Conference, The Game stated that Cody Rhodes has not digested his moment with The Beast Incarnate. He added that the moment when Lesnar shook hands with Rhodes and declared him the winner was unplanned and was done by Brock himself because he was in the moment. He then opined, saying, “I don’t believe he gets the credit for being the all-time great at this (sport).”

Triple H then added, “I know Brock, I work with him all the time. That was a holy sh*t moment for me!”. He then wondered how Cody must be feeling about this surreal moment of getting respect from The Beast Incarnate. Triple H then concluded his praise for Lesnar by saying that he is great in combat sports and an incredible athlete, while apart from these, he is the greatest performer in sports entertainment, and even called him a generational talent.

The COO of WWE then shifted gears from Brock and praised The American Nightmare. As he mentioned, after numerous criticisms, Rhodes is at this stage, which makes him suitable for that kind of respectful gesture. Hunter hopes that moment stays with Cody and helps him be the star that he wants to be.

The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar has finished his feud with Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. The tied rivalry between the two superstars landed in Rhodes’ favor after he triumphed over Lesnar after getting beaten up for a long while. But now the question arises about Brock’s future in WWE.

Wrestling Observer has provided an update on this very topic, stating Brock’s expected return. It was noted that the Fastlane event in October has advertised him, so his comeback can be expected around September. But it is also known from history that his hiatus takes up more time than has always been estimated.

The 46-year-old was seen removing his gloves and paying respects to Cody after his match at SummerSlam. But that surely does not hint at this being his last match in WWE. While speculations suggest that he might officially retire at WrestleMania 41, which is rumored to happen in his home state of Minnesota.
