Royal Rumble 2024 is in the history books of WWE. The event was heavily hyped because of the two 30-person Royal Rumble matches. The event kicked off with the women’s Rumble bout and had Jordynne Grace as the surprise entrance with her TNA Knockouts World Championship. Triple H spoke about this moment and stated his excitement to see her being ‘branched out’ using the term ‘Forbidden Door’.
The Game was speaking during the Royal Rumble Post-Show Press Conference. He dove into appreciating the talent who showed up and gave their best during the high-profile event. When it came to thanking TNA for allowing Grace to come over and let the champion show her spectacular performance, Triple H stated that he would not state this from a cliched ‘door’ perspective, implicitly meaning the Forbidden Door.
This was a shot at Tony Khan, who has been using this term frequently for the AEW-NJPW deal. He thus mentioned that cliched terms are also silly. But this did not take away the spotlight he showered on Jordynne for being an amazing talent. Hunter feels glad that the TNA Champion took advantage of the opportunity to show up, as such chances come along once in a lifetime.
I’m not gonna use all the cliched terms about what door people go through or anything like that cause it’s stupid and silly.Triple H indirectly targeting Tony Khan
The Women’s Royal Rumble was won by Bayley. She set the record for spending the longest time in any Women’s Rumble match so far. By eliminating seven opponents, she set the record for the second-most eliminations in the 30-women bout. A peculiar record tied her with Bianca Belair, as she also won the match by entering at #3.
Triple H doesn’t have much to say about Vince McMahon’s lawsuit
The news of Vince McMahon‘s resignation has taken over the wrestling world.. After being accused of sexual harassment, WWE ex-employee, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against him. The news came out on Thursday and made the headlines, worthy enough to defame TKO and WWE.
During the Royal Rumble Post-Show Press Conference, Triple H was asked about McMahon’s allegations. He then replied that it was indeed news that came to his notice like the fans at the same time. Hunter then stated to focus on the positives of the promotion coming from a wholesome week.
I choose to focus on the positive, and yes there's a negative, but I wanna focus on that and just keep it to that.Triple H on Vince McMahon’s allegations
The Game mentioned that WWE is prosperous enough to handle the situation right now. He had not much to say about the accusations as the positives of WWE’s business have overshadowed the negatives. Vince has denied the charges applied to him and stated them to be ‘never-occurred’ incidents.
