Trish Stratus in WWE
Trish Stratus is one of the greatest women wrestlers ever to have graced the squared circle. Trish Stratus has been an inspiration to many young women we see in the WWE today. Stratus always competed against the best women in the business and has been an asset to the company. Trish has involved herself in some interesting storylines and was always a solid in ring worker. She has won the WWE Women’s championship a record 7-times and has also won the Hardcore Championship once in her career. In 2021, WWE placed Stratus at the top of its list of the 50 greatest WWE female superstars ever.
Trish Stratus retired as a Champion in her hometown in 2006 after defeating Lita at the Unforgiven Pay Per View. Trish was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. Since her retirement she has made sporadic appearances in the company and has wrestled several times, with the latest being against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019, which she lost. Trish recently made an appearance on a house show in Canada, during which she helped Asuka and Alexa Bliss to fight Iyo Sky, Bayley and Dakota Kai.
Victoria had spoken about her matches with Trish Stratus in 2020
Back in 2020, during an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Victoria had spoken about her feud with Trish Stratus. Victoria said that Trish and herself did anything and didn’t just want to give a best female wrestling match but they both wanted to deliver the best match on the card. Victoria added that all of the women in the locker room would question them about the risky antics that they might perform so that people would believe they were both knocked out.
Victoria stated that she and Trish always worked hard to offer the greatest matches. Victoria also had credited Fit Finlay, without whom her character wouldn’t have been possible. Stratus and Victoria’s feud and their matches are regarded as greatest in the history of WWE.
Recently, during an appearance on Ring the Belle, Trish Stratus spoke about Victoria and expressed her desire to see her former rival in the WWE Hall of Fame. She urged everyone to trend hashtag Victoria Hall of Fame.
“Victoria? Right? Victoria. Well, let’s just get her into the Hall of Fame… Let’s just get her in the Hall of Fame. Can we do that? Can we work on this please people? Because she needs to be in there. Hashtag Victoria Hall of Fame. Let’s do that”.
Victoria’s recent appearance in the WWE was at the Royal Rumble 2021, her first in 12 years. She has had an illustrious career and has helped in the evolution of Women’s division and surely deserves a place in the WWE Hall of Fame.
