Former WWE superstar Tyler Breeze was one of the most vivid characters in NXT. He was popular among the fans for being immensely engaging with his character work and in-ring skills. Unfortunately, Breeze was released by WWE in 2021, along with his partner Fandango.

It turns out that the former NXT Tag Team Champion is still under contract with WWE. However, the contract is not a regular wrestler’s contract. According to Fightful Select, Tyler Breeze is under a WWE contract, allowing him to work on his YouTube channel UpUpDownDown with Xavier Woods. It was revealed that Breeze also receives a paycheck from the company from time to time.

The two have been running the channel since the very beginning, even after Breeze’s release. The contract does not specify whether the 35-year-old can work in other promotions. However, it was stated by Fightful that one source has revealed that there is a “no-AEW programming appearance” case in the contract.

Tyler Breeze is scheduled to appear in Prestige Wrestling for a return match on September 1, but no word has been given on his full-time return to wrestling. Breeze was a part of the WWE roster for a long time. Before coming to NXT, he was in the WWE’s developmental Florida Championship Wrestling for two years.

Once he came to NXT, he joined Fandango and they formed a faction called “Breezango.” The two superstars have had quite a decent run in the Yellow Brand. However, they were released from their contracts in June 2021 by WWE after working for the company for years.

After two years of staying away from the squared circle, Tyler Breeze is all set to return. Now going by “BREEZE,” he will make his debut in Prestige Wrestling on September 1. The former WWE star will wrestle in Portland, Oregon, at the Roseland Theater. After being released in 2021, the 35-year-old has not wrestled in any promotions.

However, Breeze makes regular appearances on the WWE YouTube show UpUpDownDown along with Xavier Woods. The former NXT Tag Team Champion has not spoken about his wrestling status since he was released. Therefore, fans did not know if Breeze would ever wrestle or not.

It was announced in 2022 that Tyler Breeze would also work in the WWE Performance Center. He will take up the role of a trainer to work with the upcoming talent. Apart from that, Breeze has also made appearances on WWE’s The Bump and is a playable character in WWE 2K23 too.
