The Indiana Pacers’ point guard, Tyrese Haliburton, is one of the biggest stars from the NBA In-Season Tournament. With his greater contribution, the Pacers reached the finals of the inaugural tournament, giving a run to the Los Angeles Lakers’ money. As he now performs in the regular tournament, a moment before their game with the Houston Rockets showed him fanboying with former WWE superstar Booker T and Queen Sharmell.

On December 26, 2023, the Houston Rockets were scheduled to play Indiana. While the Pacers were hurrying to get to the game, they encountered Booker. Tyrese in the front and James Johnson from behind were the first to greet the couple. A video shared by Pacers on their X handle shows Haliburton shaking hands and hugging them as they stood behind the barricades. The point guard claimed himself to be a big WWE fan and was amazed to see both stars.

Johnson then repeated the greetings with Booker T and showed his excitement. As Tyrese was in a rush, he stated to click a picture after their game. He stated the couple’s presence to be ‘fire’ and walked away while looking forward to their after-game interaction. Haliburton has shown his love for WWE by showing his presence at Fastlane 2023, hosted at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

King Booker has been a mainstay in WWE, showing his commentary skills for now. The 58-year-old appears on Tuesday nights as a color commentator for NXT. He is far from hitting the squared circle as a wrestler but has played a big role in founding and running the Reality of Wrestling promotion in Texas.

Booker T knocks down Houston Rockets’ mascot, followed by an unsuccessful ‘shot’

Booker T’s presence at the Toyota Center could seemingly show his support for the Houston Rockets. The Hall of Famer and his wife, Queen Sharmell, were in attendance to enjoy their game with the Indiana Pacers. But the wrestling legend also got a chance to shoot some hoops during the timeout.

It was during one of the timeouts that Booker was given a chance to take a ‘shot’. But as he went to take over the ball, he encountered the Rockets’ mascot, Clutch. The Rocket Bear was having a fine day until he met the 58-year-old, who put him down immediately with a clothesline.

Clutch sold the move perfectly and took his time to get up and show his pain. But the next move for Booker did not land in his favor, as it required him to shoot the hoops. A right-timed throw was not fortunate enough to go far as it came back, touching the rim. The cheerleaders and Booker T still celebrated the moment.
