Brock Lesnar is unlikely to compete at WrestleMania amid the ongoing sexual assault lawsuit.

The wrestling world was in shock after the sexual harassment and trafficking lawsuit came to light ahead of Royal Rumble. While the accusations were primarily leveled against Vince McMahon, Brock Lesnar‘s name seemingly surfaced in the lawsuit as well. As a result, WWE pulled any plans for The Beast Incarnate to appear at the PLE. Now, a new update has emerged regarding his WrestleMania plans.
According to the Wrestling Observer, a number of changes were made to the card in the last few days due to the allegations. Interestingly, WWE had plans in store for a Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar rivalry and an eventual match for WrestleMania 40. However, it’s unlikely he’ll be at the event unless WWE decides to call him back for the show.
For months, fans speculated at the possibility of a ‘dream’ match between The Ring General and The Beast. After what has transpired over the past week, it’s doubtful that Lesnar will compete in WWE again, let alone compete against Gunther. The lawsuit contained serious and vile accusations against Brock. While it didn’t reveal his name, they identified a WWE Superstar who was a former UFC Heavyweight Champion.
The Wall Street Journal later identified via its sources that it was indeed the 46-year-old. Bron Breakker ended up replacing Brock Lesnar in the Royal Rumble match. The NXT star heavily impressed fans on the night, racking up four eliminations before being eliminated by Dominik Mysterio.
WWE removed Brock Lesnar from a Royal Rumble video package
The Royal Rumble turned out to be a banger of a PLE for WWE. Both the titular matches garnered praise from fans, and their respective winners were more than deserving. Prior to the match, WWE showed a video package highlighting the statistics and records. One of them displayed the #30 spot and how five superstars won from that position. However, one notable absentee from the list was none other than Brock Lesnar.
Obviously, The Beast Incarnate became a two-time winner in 2022 after entering that position. The promo went through the winners, showing The Undertaker (2007), John Cena (2008), Triple H (2016), and Cody Rhodes (2023). Whether or not this is an indicator that officials ‘banned’ Brock’s name is yet to be confirmed.
Despite the snub, the Men’s Royal Rumble winner, Cody, namedropped the former World Champion during the press conference. In addition to that, the official website hasn’t erased Lesnar’s profile, like it did with Vince McMahon. The WWE Universe will have to wait and see how the promotion handles the severe allegations.
