“The Indian Fans are some of the most passionate ones”- Veer Mahaan overwhelmed by the support he got upon his debut –

Veer Mahaan is also a former Baseball player.

How many times have you seen the graphic flashing “VEER MAHAAN COMING TO RAW” on your Television screens while watching Monday Night Raw since last year’s month of October. I’m sure you can’t count them easily on your fingertips cause WWE was just simply advertising him every week without a particular date in mention for the Indian superstar to make his official Raw debut.

Well, this wait finally ended on the post Wrestlemania 38 edition of WWE Raw where Veer Mahaan finally showed up after The Miz defeated Dominic Mysterio. He came down the aisle marching to the ring with a decent pop from the live audience, attacked both the Mysterios viciously leaving them to get laid out of the arena through stretchers.

Since then he’s been booked in some squash matches.

It would be interesting to see for how long his push gets sustained. Many fans on social media have started comparing him to the late great superstar, Umaga cause he was booked similarly as Veer’s recent booking throughout his WWE career. Well, I can’t say whether this comparison is fair enough or not cause we all know Vince changes his mind faster than a flash.

Speaking upon the reactions he got after his Raw debut, Veer felt overwhelmed. He especially praised the Indian fans for being so passionate about WWE and him. Here’s what he exactly had to say –

To see the support from back home in India is nothing short of incredible. WWE fans in India are some of the most passionate in the world, and the staggering numbers who tuned-in to watch WrestleMania and my RAW debut only goes to prove that,” said Mahaan.

Veer Mahaan’s debut lead to a significant increase in TV Viewership from India –

There’s no denying the fact that WWE gets one of their biggest fan-bases from India cause it’s one of the largest markets in the world in terms of population.

These are just not hypothetical statements cause the TV Viewership figures also state the same thing and that too in a massive manner.

Veer finally made his debut on Raw after Wrestlemania 38.

According to a data released by BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council), Wrestlemania 38 garnered some unbelievably whooping numbers. The report stated that this year’s “Showcase of the immortals” was watched by 56.1 million people in India live.

This was not it because the “Raw after Wrestlemania 38” saw a 9% increase in the total viewership figure from India. The main reason told behind this bump was the heavily hyped Raw debut of fellow Indian superstar, Veer Mahaan.
