WWE has arrived in India ahead of its upcoming special event, Superstar Spectacle. Fans have been excited for the promotion’s visit to the country since 2017. One of the big names revealed to be attending the show in Hyderabad is Indian cricketer Venkatesh Iyer. Moreover, he spoke with Sony Sports Network and claimed that Sami Zayn looked familiar to another cricketer.
According to Venkatesh, the former Bloodline member resembles West Indies spinner Sunil Narine. Obviously, he plays alongside the latter in the IPL franchise, the Kolkata Knight Riders. “I’ve never understood, so I think Sunil Narine resembles Sami Zayn,” hilariously said Iyer.
The 28-year-old cricketer is a longtime fan of the WWE. In fact, he celebrated Roman Reigns’ victory against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 by raising his own replica belt. Furthermore,Venkatesh Iyer revealed his passion for professional wrestling in an interview after his international debut.
“Undertaker is one of my childhood heroes. I am a big fan of WWE and Undertaker,” mentioned Venkatesh Iyer while speaking to the BCCI channel about WWE. Therefore, the all-rounder will definitely cherish several moments while visiting the G. M. C. Balayogi Indoor Stadium on Friday. Meanwhile, Sami Zayn is scheduled for tag team action on the night.

The much-anticipated Superstar Spectacle has come closer for the WWE Universe in India. The event will showcase the biggest stars in the industry as they battle with the country’s best. Ahead of the show, Venkatesh Iyer was announced to be one of the marquee names to be in attendance on Friday Night.
Furthermore, the Indian cricketer met up with WWE superstar, Jinder Mahal. Sony Sports Network uploaded a small clip of the two men interacting with each other in a restaurant. “Two powerful hitters in one frame,” wrote the broadcasters on one of their Instagram stories.
Venkatesh is known to be a close follower of the sport. Therefore, meeting with a former WWE Champion and fellow countryman, Jinder Mahal, must’ve been special for him. The Modern-Day Maharaja will be in the corner for Indus Sher as they face their toughest challenge in the names of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
