WWE legend Dave Bautista is one of the most destructive superstars of all time. At the moment, the wrestler-turned-actor is enjoying his time off from Hollywood. He attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ NFL game against the Atlanta Falcons alongside WWE Global Brand Ambassador Titus O’Neil.
In the viral short clip online, the pair are spotted having an animated conversation during the match. It seems that Dave Bautista caught up with the 46-year-old wrestler at Raymond James Stadium in Florida. Moreover, the latter might’ve been in attendance for WWE promotional reasons. The Stamford-based promotion has partnered with the NFL on previous occasions.
Despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, Dave Bautista hasn’t appeared in the WWE as of yet. After John Cena and The Rock made their respective comebacks, many fans wondered whether a Big Dave return was on the cards. However, it is highly unlikely that he will wrestle again if he does show up.
The Animal last competed in the ring at WrestleMania 35 against his former Evolution teammate, Triple H. Furthermore, this would end up being a ‘retirement’ match for Dave Bautista. A year later, he was scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. However, the COVID pandemic put a halt to the entire ceremony. Since then, Hollywood obligations have postponed plans for Dave Bautista to headline the prestigious event.
Maven shared a heartfelt story about Dave Bautista’s initial run
Dave Bautista debuted in the WWE in 2002, dawning the Deacon persona. Moreover, he was alongside ‘Reverend’ D-Von Dudley at the time. Former wrestler Maven shared a story about his experience with The Animal during the latter’s initial days on the main roster.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, the Tough Enough winner detailed a heartwarming story of traveling with Bautista and D-Von:
We were at like an Applebee's or something, and we're eating, just us three. And as we're leaving, you know D-Von. He's pretty well known, and people are wanting his autograph; they're wanting my autograph. There's just poor Dave.We get in the car, and Dave says, I really hope somebody someday wants my autograph.
Twenty years later, the Animal is now highly regarded in the WWE and Hollywood. Therefore, more than achieving his amusing hopes
