The late WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt made his return to the company at Extreme Rules 2022. WWE released him a year before that, during Vince McMahon’s era. Finally, the new regime rehired him with a triumphant comeback at the event. However, recent reports reveal that Wyatt was on the verge of debuting on AEW following his WWE departure.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wyatt negotiated a deal with All Elite Wrestling after release from WWE. Furthermore, news emerged that other promotions, such as Impact and AAA, also showed interest in hiring him. TNT, the broadcasting partner of AEW, knew of his return date.

A few months ago, in an exclusive report from Fightful, news reports revealed that Vince McMahon made some derogatory remarks about Bray Wyatt’s physique. The WWE Executive Chairman constantly provoked him, telling him to lose weight. As a result of Vince’s obnoxious remarks, almost landed Bray Wyatt in AEW after his WWE release in 2020.

Dave Meltzer, in his recent report, said, “At one point TNT was told of a date for him to debut in AEW, but it fell through, believed to be money-related.” Despite that, Bray Wyatt decided at the last moment to work under Triple H, the new CCO. Moreover, he seemingly got creative freedom with his Uncle Howdy character, something he did not receive previously.

The Eater of Worlds sadly passed away almost a year after his return. Wyatt battled LA Knight at the Royal Rumble 2023, which would unfortunately turn out to be the last match of his career. His demise has left a void in the hearts of pro wrestling fans.

Windham Rotunda left the world at the young age of 36. The character, Bray Wyatt, whom many fans grew fond of left a huge void in the wrestling business. Bray’s last match was against LA Knight at this year’s Royal Rumble. Moreover, he was ready for a bout at WrestleMania 39.

Before Elimination Chamber, the third-generation superstar sent a warning to Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. As a result, he would end up targeting the latter, with vignettes shown teasing a future clash. However, during this time, Wyatt was struggling with illness, which rendered him unfit to compete at The Showcase of The Immortals.

Therefore, the WWE pushed Lashley into the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the go-home episode of SmackDown. Subsequently, he ended up winning the trophy. Fans were eager for the return of the Eater of Worlds to the WWE. However, unfortunately, it was not to be.
