It all feels like a well-directed Hollywood movie. But this Vince McMahon drama is showcasing new chapters every day. Amidst the recent fear of former WWE Chairman regaining creative control, he’s been sued yet again. As of this morning, Sportico is reporting that the Detroit Police and Fire Retirement System has launched a complaint against the 77-year-old.

The declaration aims to block McMahon’s ascent onto the Board of Directors. This will also have an impact on the ongoing rush to sell WWE, at the very least. As is known Vince McMahon deposed several stakeholders to gain his throne. Despite facing internal reluctance, Mr. McMahon was able to elect himself as the new Executive Chairman of WWE, touting his massive voting rights in the company.

In the aforementioned filing against the billionaire, McMahon is accused of abusing his majority stakeholder position over the board. This came after an early SEC filing, which confirmed that Vince McMahon has now enabled the perk to make major decisions all by himself, effective immediately. The owner of a Stamford-based promotion is not required to consult with anyone other than himself before making any business-related decision if he gives written consent and follows the by-laws of Section 206.

Needless to say, Vince McMahon is a big man. During his four-decade tenure as CEO of a multibillion-dollar company in WWE, he’s seen it all. Although the people around the 77-year-old aren’t his biggest fans, they have to listen to what their boss says. Tons of filings have been leveled against him in the past, but little has come to fruition.

However, only those charges of misconduct last year took Mr. McMahon by storm. After getting defamed by the media and facing fan backlash, he initially retired. That being said, once it all settled down and everything seemed to go right, he made his way back. The forthcoming months in WWE are inevitably vital for the promotion’s future. Time will tell whether things are changing for the better or for the worse.

Plus, as of now, McMahon has no say over WWE’s creative. Triple H has retained his position as the Chief Content Officer and will continue to do the same until Vince creeps in. Stephanie McMahon has already resigned from the company, but her reasons are still pretty vague, to say the least.
