The Royal Rumble 2024 delivered some amazing moments. The show featured two Royal Rumble matches. One of the biggest highlights of the show was the return of Pat McAfee. The latter not only returned to WWE, but he also entered the Royal Rumble match. However, his appearance left the fans chuckling all over.
McAfee entered the match at number 22. However, as he was set to enter the ring, Bron Breakker and Omos were having a staredown. Pat looked feared out of the two brawny superstars and decided to jump on the turnbuckle. Even that was fearsome for McAfee, as he later decided to get eliminated by himself after spending around 38 seconds in the ring. McAfee has been in the ring with Vince McMahon as well at WrestleMania 38.
It was the least amount spent by any superstar in the men’s royal rumble match in 2024. His entrance to the match looked spontaneous. However, it must have been a last-minute decision. Moreover, Pat’s appearance in the match was a point of comedy for the fans. Besides, McAfee also presented an amazing performance in his commentary as well.
The men’s royal rumble match was outstanding, as it had some unexpected moments. Cody Rhodes outlasted 29 other men in order to achieve glory and win the Royal Rumble match. The road to WrestleMania has been kicked off with this event. It is going to be interesting to see where the future of WWE is headed from here on out.
Pat McAfee was unsuccessful in breaking Michael Cole’s record at Royal Rumble
Pat McAfee entered the Royal Rumble this year. He was a surprise entry for the match. Although he didn’t enter the ring and take any sort of action, he was presented in a comical way. McAfee was not the first person from the commentary table to join the Royal Rumble match.
Michael Cole has once entered the Royal Rumble as well. He stayed in the ring for 1 minute and 28 seconds. It is the longest time a WWE commentator has stayed in a Rumble match. This fact was shared by Cole himself during his commentary at Royal Rumble 2024.
Besides, Cole also made a comical appearance at the Rumble match in 2012. However, Cole has not wrestled any matches since his short stint in 2012. However, McAfee has been involved in a few marquee matches in WWE against the likes of Vince McMahon and Adam Cole. Only time will tell where the future of McAfee is headed from here on out.
