REVEALED : Last night’s Monday Night Raw was largely written under Vince McMahon this past Thursday before he announced his retirement

Triple H and Vince McMahon

WWE entered into a new era this past Monday night as they delivered their first ever show without Vince McMahon as a part of the company. Vince McMahon recently announced his retirement from all levels of management. Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan are now the CO-CEOs of the company and the most notable change was the allotment of Triple H as the Head of Creative Team which came as a sigh of utter relief for WWE fans as this was exactly the change they were clamoring for years.

The company produced the go-home edition of WWE Raw for their second biggest show of the year – Summerslam and there were quite a few happenings as Logan Paul and Miz opened the show with a brawl followed by the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns coming down to the ring with The Usos and Paul Heyman cutting a promo over Brock Lesnar and Mr. Money in the Bank Theory came down to confront him.

Other notable things on the show included a melee between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair, The Impaulsive TV hosted by Logan Paul with guests The Miz and Maryse. The in-ring action from MSG witnessed Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley defeating Sheamus and Theory, AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler teaming up to humble The Alpha Academy, Alexa Bliss defeated Doudrop and the main-event of the show was The Bloodline defeating Riddle and The Street Profits in a fantastic back and forth contest following which Seth Rollins came in and stomped Riddle twice before going off-air.

The show drew a massive number of nearly 14,000 fans of the WWE Universe causing a sold out Madison Square Garden and roaring throughout the night for an epic lineup. Business wise, this will be the highest drawing gate for a Raw taping ever since WWE returned on the road last year in July.

As many fans were speculating that last night’s show was supervised completely by Triple H and his team as the show overall felt significantly different and comparatively fresh from previous weeks but according to Dave Meltzer on his Wrestling Observer Radio, last night’s show was majorly a Vince McMahon thing as it was written under his leadership as the Creative Head this past Thursday before he announced his WWE retirement.

“This is probably not the show to judge anything by, because this show was largely written before Vince McMahon left. It was written a lot on Thursday. Nobody ripped up anything. There are a few minor changes is what I was told.”
