As LA Knight gets more popular each week, fans on the internet search for old videos of the superstar from his days before WWE. Before becoming LA Knight, he worked for multiple promotions across the country, trying out different characters that would appeal to fans.
In a viral video from years ago, Knight is seen playing a character called El Hijo De Trump on an independent show. El Hijo De Trump means Trump’s son, which was a parody of former US President Donald Trump. In the video, Knight is seen cutting a promo in the iconic Trump style. He also talked about the controversial topics from the former President’s term in a hilarious fashion, getting heel heat.
In the promo, El Hijo De Trump talked about building a wall, keeping immigrants away, and other topics that made the former President controversial. The play on Trump is considered funny by fans now that the video is getting a lot of attention online. Besides LA Knight has been seen in numerous other roles on the independent scene over the years.

LA Knight has become one of the hottest acts on Friday nights, and therefore, fans want Knight to be featured in impassioned feuds. However, WWE has not done that, as Knight has been losing consistently in championship contender feuds in the past few weeks. Therefore, fans are concerned about LA Knight’s push.

The popularity of LA Knight has been on the rise for weeks now. The same can be evident from the merchandise sales as well. It is being reported that Knight has been the top t-shirt seller on the WWE Shop currently. He is also among the top five merchandise sellers on the company’s official website. Knight’s t-shirts and other items are in high demand among fans lately.
Fans are questioning WWE’s booking decision as, despite his popularity, LA Knight has failed to achieve any credible targets on the main roster. He was the favorite to win the Money In The Bank briefcase this year. However, Damian Priest screwed Knight to win the ladder match. This caused a lot of backlash for WWE after the event.
Recently, on SmackDown, Knight was a part of the United States Invitational Tournament. Fans expected him to win the tournament and dethrone Austin Theory for the title. However, Rey Mysterio defeated the fan favorite to proceed in the tournament. Therefore, the WWE Universe is now questioning the credibility of the superstar.
