Wade Barrett is a name in WWE who experienced a lot of misbooking throughout his career. Despite having captured the Intercontinental Championship five times in total, the concern with him was that he was never given the chance to reach his full potential. As a result, he was a mid-carder rather than the leader of the organization.

Barrett is presently providing commentary on the Smackdown with Michael Cole after retiring from in-ring competition due to injuries. He recently admitted that he occasionally thinks about going back into the ring because it would be a significant step for him which he revealed on the Ryan Satin show Out of Character.

The former Intercontinental Champion admitted that, although his return would be part-time rather than full-time, it was something he occasionally thought about. He believes that while he is not mentally prepared to return to the ring full-time, a part-time return is possible.

He also said that his return can happen but he is not finalizing as his return is not a very big thing for him. Wade Barrett said, “I’ve never ruled out getting back in the ring one day. I won’t say it’s high on my list of priorities. I don’t think I could physically do the full-time grind anymore, more mentally than physically. I think my body could hold up. I’m still in very good shape. I keep myself fit.”

One of the reasons Barrett isn’t returning to the ring is that he believes that if he did, all of the commentary work and other things would be left behind, and he wouldn’t be able to continue these things. More than wrestling, he enjoys those things.

Wade stated that only he would make the anticipated in-ring return as his return will be significant and it should happen at a perfect time and with a perfect plot when he will feel like he cannot handle the commentary alone and will want to experience what a major return will feel like.
