Professional wrestling is known for a lot of flashy stuff that might range from over-the-top gimmicks to iconic catchphrases. “Finish the story” is one of the top catchphrases at this moment thanks to the emotional and inspirational appeal generated by Cody Rhodes. However, it seems the rosy picture inside his head got a reality check in his latest interaction with a kid.
It seems Rhodes’ streak of getting bold remarks is here to stay. Cody Rhodes was featured in the latest video posted by WWE. The video shows him interacting with small kids, during which he was asked a very poignant question. “So you’re a champion?”, seemingly embarrassed, the American Nightmare explained how he is on his way to becoming one.
It seems the other kid wanted to give Rhodes a pat on his back. He responded with, “Maybe one day, kid.” Such a brutal reply coming from such a small kid left the 2023 Royal Rumble winner flabbergasted. Even the EST, Bianca Belair, who was present beside him looked sheepishly at her co-star.
On the work front, Rhodes was last seen in a heated rivalry against the Sinister Japanese, Shinsuke Nakamura. After overcoming such a major obstacle, Rhodes has set his sights on once again winning the Royal Rumble. However, it seems one of the top-most contenders, CM Punk has got his attention on him.
WWE brings out their top stars to highlight their impact on the Community
WWE as a major player in the arena of sports entertainment recognises the impact it has on the lives of people. In its recent video on YouTube, it featured the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes, and the EST, Bianca Belair. It was a feel-good video, where the evaluators were small kids who could get “cranky” if they missed their naps.
Both the superstars were pitched with several questions like “whether they are good or bad?” Or if they made people happy, to which Rhodes and Belair elaborated on the WWE’s collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and how they fulfilled several wishes in 2023.
Further, they talked about their Tribute to the Troops and Community Champions initiative. They also spoke on how WWE recognizes the special Olympic athletes. Rhodes would comment on these deeds as the best part of working with WWE. Then they ended with the graphics highlighting how WWE supported over 100 organizations with 300 global events and $4.5 million raised and contributed.
