UFC star Colby Convington has shown once again that he has the utmost respect for Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle. Colby paid homage to Angle as he walked to the Octagon on Kurt’s WWE theme song. It generated a lot of buzz on the internet, as Covington also greeted Donald Trump while entering the cage.

In the main event of UFC 296, Colby Covington was ready for a fight against Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards. Before the match, Colby marched to the Octagon on Kurt Angle’s iconic entrance theme. The moment it was sent, the audience was present at T-Mobile Arena. Moreover, he also greeted former US President Donald Trump which garnered attention online.

Covington showcased his true American spirit as he also carried an American flag on his shoulder during his entrance. In addition to all that, the crowd had a good time chanting “You Suck” to Kurt Angle’s iconic theme song known as “Medal.” However, in the main event of UFC 296, Colby suffered a defeat at the hands of Leon Edwards.

Moreover, Kurt Angle is known as a true American hero. He is respected not only in professional wrestling but also in all terms of combat sports. In addition to all this, this was not the first time Covington used Angle’s theme for an entrance. He also made a similar entrance in 2019 in his fight against Robbie Lawler.

In an interview on The Schmo With The Pro, Angle revealed that, at first, he didn’t know who Colby was. He allowed him to use the entrance music after Angle did all the research and came to know that Covington is a pretty good athlete.

Well, he approached me and asked me if he could use it and I said, 'I don't know. Because I don't know who you are,' and I did some research on him and found out how damn good he is. I said, 'Yes, you can definitely use my music.

Moreover, Colby stole the show as he did an epic entrance to the music. He generated a lot of buzz on the internet, which led to fans appreciating his true American spirit. As for Kurt Angle, it must have been a proud moment for him to see a star like Colby paying homage to him.
