One of the biggest professional wrestling events of all time, All In, kicked off with a banger. CM Punk squared off against his old rival, Samoa Joe, for the “real” AEW World Championship. The bout started well, with the pair exchanging back-and-forth blows with each other. However, it got gruesome as it went on.

Joe sent the Second City Saint crashing into the announce table. As a result, the latter began to bleed heavily, with the live audience looking on in shock. Furthermore, the submission specialist gained the upper hand before his opponent fought back.

Interestingly, CM Punk performed a combination of John Cena’s five-knuckle shuffle and Hulk Hogan’s leg drop. Punk tried locking in the Figure-4 submission, but the ROH World Champion countered. Finally, he put away Samoa Joe with a Pepsi Plunge from the top rope. Hence, he retained his “World Championship” in the process as well.

This marked his first win in his career against one of his oldest foes. Wembley Stadium definitely enjoyed the match, as they were electric through the duration of it. Also, it was a great way to start the event with a gruesome bout.
