WWE, recognizing the sizable Indian fanbase, actively engages with them to ensure their voices resonate within the wrestling community. Recently, former WWE Superstar Gurvinder “Gurv” Sihra of the Bollywood Boyz shared a video on Instagram, featuring John Cena. The video quickly went viral due to Cena’s rendition of a Hindi song from Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan’s film.
The viral video showcased the Face That Runs the Place following Gurv’s lead, singing an iconic Hindi song. His effort garnered appreciation from the WWE Universe in India. This isn’t the first time the 5-time United States Champion has received praise from them as he constantly takes to Instagram to support multiple Indian personalities, further endearing himself to the Indian fans.

John Cena has consistently shown support for his fanbase in India throughout his career. Notably, he used to sport a tricolored armband reminiscent of India’s flag. Additionally, The Cenation Leader made a return to India last year, delighting his fans with a live performance. The tremendous reception he received shows the deep affection the WWE Universe in India holds for him.
This is not the first time the veteran superstar has tried to speak an Indian native language. In the earlier days of his career, the wrestler-turned-actor was seen conversing with The Great Khali in Punjabi. Cena never backs down from mentioning his fanbase in India or trying to connect with them.
John Cena is seemingly out of the match card of WrestleMania 40
In his recent WWE stint, the 16-time WWE Champion surpassed expectations with his prolonged presence. However, his final match ended in a resounding defeat at the hands of Solo Sikoa. Despite his legendary status, the 46-year-old experienced defeats against The Undertaker, Bray Wyatt, and Austin Theory at WrestleMania 34, 36, and 39 respectively.

It’s difficult to believe that WWE executives were on the verge of firing Cena when things looked bleak. Thanks to Stephanie McMahon‘s intervention, the WWE Universe gained one of its greatest superstars. The Grandest Stage of Them All typically boasts a star-studded lineup of legends and icons. With WrestleMania XL looming, it appears unlikely that The Champ will make a return this year.
Following The Bloodline’s Special Enforcer’s victory over the legendary superstar, speculation mounts regarding a potential rematch between the two. Cena’s return is anticipated, whether to settle his score with Sikoa or ignite a fresh feud. With hints at his impending retirement, time is of the essence. Fans eagerly await the moment when the G.O.A.T. will make his much-anticipated return to the WWE stage.
