In the Women’s division of WWE, Ronda Rousey has been one of the most powerful female competitors ever since making her WWE debut in 2018. Rousey’s WWE debut has been called as one of the best debuts in WWE history. Before making her WWE debut, Ronda Rousey was and is still known for her illustrious career as an MMA fighter. Ronda started her MMA career in 2011 by signing with the MMA and Kickboxing organization Strikeforce. She even became the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion in 2012 by defeating Miesha Tate.

Ronda Rousey returned to WWE in January 2022 at the Royal Rumble after a 2-year hiatus, she took the hiatus as she wanted to start a family with her husband Travis Browne. Ronda won the Royal Rumble 2022 and went on to challenge Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38 for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Rousey was defeated at the Flagship event but she later defeated “The Queen” at WrestleMania Backlash to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time in her career. Rousey was recently defeated by Liv Morgan when she cashed in her contract at MITB Live event.

Ronda Rousey was signed to UFC in 2012 and became the first women to get signed in UFC and she was the first UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Rousey defended her Championship on six occasions. Rousey was undefeated for the first five years and she has 12-2 Professional record in UFC. Without Ronda, there wouldn’t even be women fighters in the UFC. Ronda’s prominence as MMA fighter inspired WWE to pay more attention to the women’s division. Ronda is regarded as one of the all-time best female UFC competitors.

Back in 2013, while speaking with New York Post, Ronda opposed the inclusion of transgender MMA fighter Fallon Fox in the women’s division. While Ronda had said that she doesn’t have any problem in competing against Transgenders but it is different situation for someone like Fox, if she becomes a UFC Champion. Ronda had concluded that it would be a difficult situation socially if Fox becomes a champion.

“It’s not something that happened to [Fox]. It was a decision she made. She should be aware in her career after that, it’s going to be an arduous path. I don’t know why she’s surprised by that. It’s going to draw a lot of emotions. What if she became UFC champion and we had a transgender women’s champion? It’s a very socially difficult situation.”

Ronda Rousey will face Liv Morgan at SummerSlam for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The event will take place on July 30th at Nissan Stadium Nashville, Tennessee.
