Seth made his NXT debut in 2012; became the inaugural NXT Champion and rest is history. Seth Rollins entered the main roster in 2012 and since then he has clinched almost every current championship and accomplishment in WWE. However, Things weren’t always that optimistic and promising for Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
Back in September 2021, during his appearance on Stone cold Steve Austin’s show “Broken Skull Sessions”, Seth had stated that, Triple H had said to him that he didn’t find anything extraordinary in him and if he doesn’t want to follow their principles he can go back to Ring of Honor
“Hunter took me aside and was like, ‘Look, I don’t see anything special in you. If you don’t want to play ball and don’t want to work with us, you can go back to Ring of Honor and do things your way, but you need to start doing things our way.’”
Luckily, Seth followed the ideology and was made on board in WWE, Rollins had also revealed that he had told Triple H that he wanted to be the inaugural NXT Champion and once he is, then the show will set off running and won’t stop. Since then Triple H has mentored Seth Rollins and always backed him in WWE.
“Three months later, I’m sitting in a room with Hunter and I’m saying, ‘I want that NXT Championship. I want to be the first one to hold that title. Put it on me and this brand is off and running. If you go in another direction with it, I don’t know where you’re going to be in a couple of years.’ I told him that, ‘I’m the right guy for this. You know that, I know that, let’s bury this hatchet and make this work.’ It was close, it was a lesson I had to learn the hard way. It was one more slip up from, ‘that’s it for you.’”
Seth Rollins is expected to be a part of Money in the Bank main event on July 2nd. As of now, it is unknown as to what part of Storyline he is going to be.
