“I knew it would get a POP from the live crowd”; Drew McIntyre reveals the reason behind coming out to his old theme at WWE Clash at the Castle

Titantron for Drew McIntyre's Broken Dreams theme
WWE Clash at the Castle is in the history books for good and it was a memorable show which had it’s moments right from top to bottom. The hometown hero Drew McIntyre competed in the biggest match of his entire career in the main-event against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
That one thing which caught everyone’s attention was when McIntyre walked out to his old Broken Dreams theme and the crowd popped big. Although, he walked down that aisle with the current theme which he’s been using since 2019 but reverting back to Broken Dreams for even a part was a pinch of nostalgia.
Their match played out to be an absolute complete package with some hard-hitting offenses to crowd shocking stuff, from mid-match verbal trash talk to memorable finisher kickouts, this fight had it absolutely all. The ending came when Solo Sikoa made his jaw-dropping main roster debut pulling out referee’s leg out of the ring amidst off the McIntyre pinfall attempt.
After his disappointing loss to Roman Reigns despite giving his all, Drew McIntyre was interviewed by BT Sport where the Scottish Warrior was asked about how he managed to get back Broken Dreams and how everything worked out.
“I’ve been pushing it for a very long time. I didn’t think they’d finally bite but I had a conversation with Hunter (Triple H) and Kevin Dunn. I tried to explain that I think this is the time, with the crowd we are going to have. This is a knowledgable crowd, they know my history.
It is very much a full circle moment for me and I feel that is very much a part of my story. I knew it would get a pop from the live crowd, I knew people online would get a kick out of it. But for me, hearing that, it reminded me of how far I’ve come.”

What’s next for Drew McIntyre after losing to Roman Reigns?

Despite putting his body on the line and unreal crowd support, Roman Reigns stoled the victory and snatched the moment away from McIntyre’s hands. Considering the fact that Roman won’t be on every show now, what will Drew McIntyre’s future mean for him now?
Running our theories and brain suggests that given the fact that Solo Sikoa cost McIntyre the WWE Championships, they both could actually start a program on Smackdown for some very obvious reasons and fans are gonna definitely enjoy this fresh matchup. There would be no one better than McIntyre to be Sikoa’s first main-roster feud.
