Even though people say WWE is scripted, sometimes it can be really dangerous for the wrestlers performing. One wrongly timed move and an injury can destroy a wrestler’s career. A similar incident happened during the AEW Rampage taping in a match between Sammy Guevara and Jeff Hardy.
During the match, Guevara tried to hit Hardy with a shooting star press; however, his boots landed straight on Hardy’s face. This botched move knocked him out cold, and Sammy picked up the victory. However, many fans are angry with the 30-year-old regarding this and are blasting him on social media.
However, this is not the first time the 30-year-old star has botched a move. At All Out 2020, Sammy and Matt Hardy also went through a very scary moment. The Spanish God tried to spear him off a scissor lift, which went wrong as they missed the table and Hardy hit his head on the concrete floor.
There are still no updates about how severe Jeff’s injury is, but according to some reports, he was bleeding from his mouth. Hardy is known for suffering several injuries due to his daredevil style of wrestling. As such, fans hope that the injury is not that serious and that he returns soon to the squared circle again.
Wrestling fans are angry at Sammy Guevara for again not performing the move correctly
AEW star and wrestling legend Jeff Hardy suffered an injury during the match with Sammy Guevara on AEW Rampage. The 30-year-old tried to perform the shooting star press, but his boot landed straight on his face, resulting in him knocking out cold.
One fan was disappointed with Sammy and recalled the same moment when he botched a move and injured Jeff’s brother, Matt Hardy. Another fan joked that he has some serious problems with the Hardy Boys. Here are some of the top reactions from the fans:
One user was disappointed by the 30-year-old and said he hasn’t improved that much in the ring. Some fans hilariously mocked the Jacksonville-based company by calling it “Amateur Elite Wrestling” instead of All Elite Wrestling. Another fan had a different opinion and said that the legendary veteran just should’ve rolled away instead of putting his knees up.
Although the majority of the people supported Jeff in this incident, some fans took it differently and said it was not Sammy’s fault as he did his spot perfectly. One person said they are both professionals, and accidents like this happen in wrestling. Overall, the fans took it as an unfortunate accident and wished for Jeff to get well soon.
