If not for a double swerve, WWE fans believe that Bayley‘s being hoodwinked by Dakota Kai based on recent developments. Next week, she’ll join forces with Bayley to take on Kairi Sane and Asuka in a non-title match. But what led to this? It stemmed from this week’s SmackDown. A backstage angle saw Dakota being escorted to the trainer’s room as she was seemingly attacked.

However, who did her dirty was never shown. Later, Bayley showed up to lend her concerns for Kai and asked who was behind all of this. Without a hiccup, Kai named Damage CTRL. After listening to that, Bayley felt she should’ve had Kai’s back when the latter asked for help last week. Dakota told The Role Model to not feel guilty about it, as she was going through a tsunami of emotions back then.

However, then and there, the 35-year-old star, bolstered by Bayley, pledged to take care of the Iyo Sky-led group. And guess what? They do have an opportunity to do so next Friday. It would be Dakota Kai’s first match since May of last year. Needless to say, even though her ACL was torn, Kai returned to WWE programming once Iyo Sky captured the Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.

Dakota slowly began to crawl back into the fold ever since. And it has gotten to a point where the WWE Universe can’t help but smell a backstabber in her. A few days ago, Kai was spotted filming promotional content for WrestleMania XL. If anything, that suggests she could have a role to play at The Showcase of the Immortals.

Based on how things panned out last night on SmackDown, it’s looking tenebrous for The Role Model. As the fan reactions suggest, Dakota Kai may also end up turning on the ex-Damage CTRL leader.

As mentioned, most of the fans are convinced that Dakota will stab Bayley next week. A lot of them were pumped to witness Dakota’s in-ring return after being on the shelf for almost 10 months.

A fan also said that the scheduled tag match for SmackDown could’ve been a perfect fit for the Elimination Chamber. Another one suggested that Kai may swindle Bayley next week by saying she’s not physically apt to compete at the eleventh hour.
