SummerSlam had one of the most stacked matchcard of the year. One of the highlights was the Slim Jim Battle Royal. The match featured the likes of superstars such as LA Knight, AJ Styles and The Miz. However, the biggest moment from the match was LA Knight finally getting the spotlight he long awaited for.
The Battle Royal kicked off with superstars crowding the ring. LA Knight was getting the pop throughout the match. It picked up its pace after the Nigerian Giant Omos got eliminated. At last, only four superstars were left in the ring, including LA Knight, AJ Styles, Sheamus, and Bronson Reed. After a physical brawl between these superstars, The Megastar eliminates Reed and Sheamus eliminates AJ.
After a back and forth between Sheamus and Knight, the latter successfully outsmarted the Celtic Warrior and took away the win after throwing him off the top rope. The Megastar finally got his big moment at the Biggest Party of the Summer. He celebrated his victory in his own style, with the WWE Universe in attendance.
WWE has huge plans for Knight going forward and it looks like fans got a glimpse of it at SummerSlam. His win was indispensable in order to claim his spot. It will be interesting to see how things turn out for him next week on SmackDown.
