Brock Lesnar is one of the wrestling legends who has made his mark even in other areas of his interest. From being the devastating Next Big Thing in WWE to quickly gaining success in the UFC. But the period between his contributions to WWE and UFC saw his short-lived career in the NFL. Thus, today, on the eve of Brock’s birthday, the NFL’s official Twitter handle shared a video of the preseason game featuring Brock’s contribution to the Minnesota Vikings back in 2004.
The video shared by NFL presents the highlights of the 2004 preseason game that saw Lesnar try out for his hometown team, the Minnesota Vikings. The Beast Incarnate played defensive tackle on the team and made sure to secure the football from opponents. The uploaded video was the first ever game Brock played in the NFL with jersey number 69. But to his misfortune, Brock played only two preseason games in 2004 and never made it to the regular season.
Brock Lesnar was criticized for destroying everyone in sight during his defensive tackles during the game. Having no experience with the game, he was unaware of the playing system of the NFL. He did play some football at Webster High School in the positions of Lineman, Running Back, and Linebacker. The match between the Vikings and 49ers was eventually won by the former, with Brock’s smaller contribution coming in the form of a tackle on Jason Wright.
The video brought back memories of Brock’s time in the NFL and showed how far he has come since then. The 12th of July marked The Beast’s 46th birthday, and his fans, the NFL, and WWE himself congratulated him on the special eve. WWE even described him as the man who has done it all while posting some of his grandest feats on their official Instagram handle.

Brock Lesnar made his way into the NFL in 2004 after parting ways with WWE after WrestleMania 20. His first game in the NFL was a preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers, as he represented his hometown team, the Minnesota Vikings. A highlight clip of this game was shared by the NFL’s official Twitter handle on the eve of Lesnar’s 46th birthday. Fans have reacted to this post and shown their surprise in the comments.
The Beast Incarnate has made his mark in WWE and UFC but has remained quite unsuccessful in the NFL. Lesnar’s recent run in WWE has seen him feud with Cody Rhodes as the rivalry builds up for a tie-breaker match at SummerSlam, hopefully with a stipulation.
