Edge is coming back relatively soon. As announced during this week’s SmackDown, the Rated-R Superstar will return in a matter of days. That said, he’s going to celebrate his 25th WWE Anniversary in Toronto. The date falls two weeks from last night and a sold-out Scotiabank Arena would be rumbling for Edge’s return. Fans last saw the WWE Hall of Famer on SmackDown at the Madison Square Garden.

He wrestled Grayson Waller in a hard-fought match. Despite the Aussie Icon’s flamboyant tactics, the Master Manipulator schooled him. Since then, Edge hasn’t been seen on television in any capacity. Everyone was hoping for him to have a marquee showdown at this year’s SummerSlam. However, the Canadian great was never factored into creative plans.

Well, Edge can still appear at The Biggest Party of the Summer in a non-wrestling capacity. But, as of now, it’s looking quite tenebrous. Anyways, fans must look forward to his 25-year WWE bash in just a couple of weeks time. Over the years, the Ultimate Opportunist has transcended barriers in this industry. Just when he thought there’s a lot left in his tank, Edge had to retire as a World Champion.

However, back in 2020, Edge shocked the world. He made his in-ring return at the Royal Rumble, in a sight no one thought will ever become a reality again. Since then, time has flown away. It’s been nearly 3.5 years since his miraculous comeback. But sadly, it’s probably going to end sooner, rather than later. Edge has now wrestled almost everyone he had on his wishlist. That said, he’d draw the curtains on his WWE career, inevitably.

Will Edge announce his retirement on SmackDown in two weeks?

Whether anyone likes it or not, Edge is almost a doorstep away from hanging up his boots. That could possibly happen next year at WrestleMania, maybe next month or at worse, in a couple of weeks. Last time when WWE visited Toronto for an episode of Raw, Edge headlined the show against Damian Priest. After one hell of a fight, the Rated-R Superstar emerged victorious.

After the show went off-air, Edge left everyone weeping off their tears. He announced that the next time they’d land in Toronto for a show, it could be his last. He declared his urge to call it off on a legendary career in front of his own people. And judging by that, the end could be near for Edge. However, it’s worth noting that he missed months of action back in 2020 after tearing up his triceps. The said match happened at Backlash against Randy Orton.

Keeping that in mind, WWE does have an opening to add some injury time on Edge’s contract. If that ends up happening, fans might see the 11-time World Champion stick around until next year, probably WrestleMania. The company could plan a massive retirement match for Edge at The Grandest Stage of them all. However, there’s no word on if Edge’s going that far.
