“It scared me to DEATH” WWE Hall of Famer had to be put under multiple medical tests after a powerbomb by The Shield

The Shield

The Shield was one of the most dominant tag teams that ever existed in the history of the company. The team has been involved in all the major feuds. A large number of legends have faced the trio consisting of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley (then Dean Ambrose). It won’t be wrong to say that the team created a sense of fear among the other superstars associated with the company.

It is common to hear that a particular WWE Superstar has suffered a massive injury. Sometimes the injury persists and the player is not able to get back in the ring. Standing in the ring with furious contenders is not a kids sport. One has to get a clarification from the medical team that the certain superstar is in the pink of health and can fight. The WWE management makes sure that the players are safe and receive the best medical facility in case of need.

The injuries have often raised the concern of the fans and the fellow superstars. One such incident was recalled by Road Dogg from WrestleMania 30. Road Dogg and his teammate Billy Gunn faced The Shield at the event where the two were defeated by their opponents. The post match condition of the WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn worried his fellow superstar from the company.

Billy was given a powerbomb along with Road Dogg. After the match got over and the superstars went backstage, Billy was nowhere to be found. Finally Road saw  him under the stage coughing blood. The medical team quickly turned up and performed various tests on him to ensure that he was fine.

Road Dogg was recently in a podcast where he recalled the incident with The Shield. “I guess he hit really hard or whatever, but he had always had a little asthmatic, some asthmatic issues. But it scared me to death. They had to do chest x-rays on him that night and all kinds of stuff because he was coughing up blood from the double powerbomb,” said Road Dogg.

WWE is indeed a tough game. No one knows where you land once you are up in the air. If anyday you get heavily injured, there is a huge possibility of you never getting again in the ring. Paige was one of the superstars whose career ended in WWE at a very young age owing to injuries.
