John Cena is arguably one of the greatest of all time. There is barely anything left for him to accomplish in the company, he’s done it all. Cena was last seen opening WrestleMania 39 in a losing effort against Austin Theory.

The result of that match left a lot of people perplexed. Some people expected this match to be a passing of the torch moment. However, Austin Theory beating John Cena left a bitter taste for the WWE Universe.

John Cena hasn’t been seen on live television since the loss at Mania. In his recent promos, it did sound like he was hinting at retirement. However, if recent rumors are to be believed, fans could see John Cena back in action at a PLE pretty soon.

Recent leaks from internal sources in the company and other reports suggest that The Cenation Leader could be at the King of the Ring PLE. Though it is not clear what Cena will do at the event.

If he is participating in the tournament, that would also mean he’d have to make appearances at RAW and SmackDown a few weeks prior. Considering his Hollywood commitments, it is not known if it would be possible or not. It is all in the early stages to say something for sure.

Maybe having Cena compete for it and even win it might just blow some life into it. It also happens to be one of those rare things that Cena hasn’t won. Maybe a dream match-up with Logan Paul. On the other hand, considering the fact Cena didn’t lose clean and fans could see a probable rematch with Theory. Imagine a scenario where Theory issues an open challenge to mock Cena and he responds.

If the recent promos are any indication, it might seem that John Cena has been hinting at hanging up his boots. Over the past 2 decades, he has been the flag bearer for the company.

Cena will be seen reprising his role in the Fast saga for the 10th installment and he’s got many more movies lined up. So his appearances at WWE will seem more sporadic until he decides to call it time on his career. Whenever he decides to do so he is a sure-shot Hall of Famer and will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest of all time.
