“They owe me one,” WWE Legend seeks a retirement match in the company
WWE Hall of Famers coming out of from their retirements to wrestle a match has become an inevitable pattern in WWE. However, one such legend, Goldberg, feels that WWE owes him a retirement match.
Over the years, WWE fans have seen many Hall of Famers and legends make a comeback to the wrestling ring from their retirement. Some were driven by passion, whereas some felt there was still some fuel left in the tank. However, one such WWE Legend who is on the list is Goldberg. Bill Goldberg is signed with WWE for limited matches every year. However, in a recent interview, the former WCW star said that WWE owes him a retirement match.
Goldberg is one of the most iconic names in pro wrestling. He has given innumerable moments to this industry. While speaking in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Goldberg said that there’s not much fuel left in his tank. He, therefore, said that he’s looking for one last match before he finally bids adieu to his wrestling career. Moreover, the wrecking machine added that the place could be anywhere. However, Goldberg showed sanguine thoughts on wrestling his last match in WWE, the place where he solidified his legacy.
The HOF’er believes that WWE is obligated to him for everything he has done. However, it is noteworthy to mention that WWE never hangs back from fulfilling Goldberg’s demands. Besides, he said that he made a deal with the devil and fulfilled his job. “You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one,” Goldberg said. Furthermore, the WWE legend said that he is not waiting to get a phone call from WWE. He added that he already has ideas in mind to pitch regarding his retirement match.
However, Goldberg hinted that his last match could probably be in Israel. On the other hand, WWE’s next PLE in Saudi Arabia is on May 27. Therefore, the fans have started speculating that a former WCW star would wrestle his retirement match in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, over the years, the PLEs in Saudi Arabia saw the rise of legends and icons. Therefore, there’s a very good possibility that the fans will see Goldberg wrestle his last match at the PLE in Saudi Arabia.

Goldberg’s status with WWE
WWE Icon Goldberg has given some of the most hard-hitting matches during his career in WWE. However, the fans believe the spark has gone out of him in recent times. Goldberg signed a whopping million-dollar deal with the company for his limited matches. However, according to reports, his WWE contract expired in late 2022. However, it won’t be surprising to see WWE sign him for a match in Saudi Arabia.
Goldberg’s status with WWE is still up in the air. There is currently no news regarding the renewal of his contract. However, it appears that there won’t be much time before WWE approaches him and offers him a contract. The WWE legend wrestled his last match against Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber 2022. The PLE in Saudi could possibly be the place where the WWE Universe could see Goldberg’s final match.
