The Hurt Business was a faction that, despite persisting for a short period of time, had quite a dominant run and succeeded in entertaining the fans. The faction thrived under the guidance of MVP as their manager. Despite doing well on the main roster, The Hurt Business was dispersed. However, from the recent episodes of Raw, it seems like the WWE Universe will soon get to see the members of the faction together once again. Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is thinking about adding an NXT star to the faction as well.
It appears that the Red Brand will see some dominance in the form of Hurt Business once again. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has been in discussions about bringing in NXT star Carmelo Hayes and adding him to the faction. The company sees potential in the former North American champion. Moreover, they believe that it would revamp and bolster the faction. Besides, the WWE Universe would love to see Hayes get a main roster callup.
Furthermore, MVP said during an interview that Carmelo Hayes reminds him of a younger version of himself. Therefore, he said that he would love to work with him someday. However, Meltzer emphasised that there have been only “discussions” and nothing is certain as of now. He said that what’s inevitable is that the fans will soon get to see the members unite. And the addition of Carmelo Heyes to the faction would amplify the Hurt Business.
The Hurt Business was formed in 2020 under the creative regime of Vince McMahon. Bobby Lashley was the WWE Champion and the United States Champion under MVP’s guidance. In addition to that, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander were the Raw Tag Team Champions. The faction dominated the roster and wrecked everyone that came its way. They had quite an incredible impact on the roster. However, when it looked like The Hurt Business would do wonders, Vince McMahon dispersed the faction, having no further plans. Over time, the WWE Universe saw the faction form and break up multiple times. Thus, it was evident that WWE had no major plans for the faction under Mr. McMahon.
However, things have changed in recent times with Triple H taking control. It appears that The Hurt Business will get back together very soon. Moreover, there have been rumours that the fans might see them officially reunite at the Elimination Chamber. According to rumours and speculations, The Hurt Business might play a key role in the match between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley at the Elimination Chamber.

The storyline involving Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar is one of the most intriguing aspects of Monday Night Raw. The heated rivalry between the two of them culminated in a match at the Elimination Chamber. However, there have been rumours that The Hurt Business might interrupt the match, costing Lesnar the match. As a result, the WWE Universe would witness the formation of The Hurt Business in the PLE.
As a consequence, Brock Lesnar would probably challenge Bobby Lashley to a final match at The Grandest Stage of Them All. However, as of now, nothing is clear, and Lashley’s status for WrestleMania 39 is obscure. According to rumours, there’s a possibility that Lashley could face Lesnar in one final match at WrestleMania 39. However, it will be interesting to see what’s in store for Bobby Lashley going into WrestleMania.
