WWE calls up so many talented superstars from NXT to the main roster, and fans hope they will enjoy the same success on the main roster. While some superstars thrive in success, others well, not so much. One of those superstars is heavyweight Odyssey Jones. There are no creative plans for him as of now.

As reported by Sean Sapp from FightfulSelect he was supposed to be introduced as the new member of the faction with Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits. But as that idea was shot down, WWE creatives had to think of other ways of pushing him to the main roster spotlight. He was initially drafted on Raw in 2023 but didn’t manage to leave a mark during his run.

He was last seen in the match as a partner of Cameron Grimes against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller on recent live events. He was spotted backstage on SmakcDown. It may be possible that WWE is trying to make his debut on the blue brand. Fans already know that he has some serious potential and waiting to see the impact he makes on SmackDown.

He has had some pretty good wins during his run in NXT against the likes of Trick Williams and Von Vagner. His most memorable moment was when he reached the finals of the NXT Breakout tournament but lost to Carmelo Hayes. It will be interesting to see when he returns to the main roster and with whom he will be in the feud first.

Bobby Lashley has a special place in his heart for the original Hurt Business

During the pandemic era, there was one dominant faction before Judgment Day and The Bloodline got their spotlight, and that was the Hurt Business. The faction included MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. Lashley said he has a special place in his heart for this faction.

In a recent edition of The Ten Count podcast, Lashley discussed what it was like to work with the Hurt business during the pandemic era. Lashley replied that the faction holds a special place in his heart because they tried to bring everyone together in difficult times.

Of course, I have a special place in my heart for the original Hurt Business. We fought, scraped, and clawed trying to get everyone together. That was such a special time for us. In my opinion, and this is just me talking, we have to give some respect to the people who were putting in the work at the time when we needed it. The pandemic was an awful time for everyone. And The Hurt Business, we were running the show. We were doing everything.

The group was on top of WWE as every member was a champion at one point. but it was eventually disbanded in 2022 when Lashley and MVP left the group. Cedric and Shelton continued to wrestle as a tag team. The 47-year-old veteran said they were doing everything they could to entertain the audience. As of now, Lashley has aligned himself with street profits. It will be interesting to see whether they join him again or not.
