Night of Champions witnessed an incredible match for the Intercontinental Championship. Gunther battled Mustafa Ali in the match, delivering some hard hitting moves. The WWE Universe witnessed an epic showdown between the two superstars. The Ring General, however, crumbled Ali and defeated him to retain his title.

The match kicked off with an epic entrance from Mustafa Ali. Fans in Saudi Arabia were cheering for him, which comes as no surprise because of his roots. Moreover, the WWE Universe witnessed Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci introduce the Ring General, Gunther. The Imperium once again made a spectacular entrance.

The match started with Gunther brutally beating Mustafa Ali. It continued for a long time as the Ring General dominated the match. Gunther is known for destroying his opponents in the ring. Thus, he gave a preview of that at Night of Champions. However, Ali soon recovered and tried to fight back with all his might.

The 37-year-old almost pinned Gunther when he delivered another 450 splash to end the match. That could have been a magical moment for Mustafa Ali, winning the prestigious title in front of his fans. But things didn’t go well, as Gunther managed to escape from the move. He picked up Ali and gave him a triple powerbomb to end the match.
