“WWE wanted RKBro to break up” Randy Orton reveals details

The team of Randy Orton and Riddle – RKBro is one of the most over tag teams in the current roster as well as of all times. The first won the Raw tag team titles, dropped them to the Alpha Academy and one them back on an episode of Raw. They then went on to have their Wrestlemania moment as they successfully defended their gold in a triple-threat match against the Street Profits and the Alpha Academy. However, none of this could’ve ever happened if it wouldn’t be for Randy Orton.
Randy Orton convinced WWE to keep RKBro for the time being
According to rumours, WWE expected Orton to flip on Riddle, so RK-Bro was never supposed to continue this long. Randy had one of his most enjoyable stints on television thanks to the promotion’s wise decision to keep Orton and Riddle together. However, this had a big hand of Orton in it.
The Viper and his tag team partner were in session at WWE’s UK presser, where Orton revealed that the creative crew tried to split up RK-Bro a few months ago. As Orton and Riddle spoke to individuals backstage about keeping their on-screen performance, persuading corporate authorities was not a difficult endeavour. According to Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, Orton revealed the following:
“Randy Orton says WWE wanted to break RKBro up months ago, but they talked them into keeping them together for now. “It wasn’t too hard to convince them,” said Orton. TalkSport also published a tweet regarding the same and it can be seen below:
RKBro and The Usos are all set to make history at Wrestlemania Backlash as they square off against each other in one of the biggest tag team matches ever to unify the Raw and Smackdown Tag Team gold. Wrestlemania Backlash would certainly reveal what the future holds for RKBro and we wish they continue their long sprint.
