It has been a few months since Nick Aldis was appointed as the General Manager of SmackDown. Since then, fans have seen him trying to impart his duties impartially. However, he has also been a bearer of an “in-your-face” attitude that often lands him out of the good book of other superstars. The case in focus belongs to his recent comments on Zelina Vega.

Vega is someone known for her ambitions of being taller than herself. In the same current, she asked the former NWA Champion to provide her with another title shot at the WWE Women’s Champion, Iyo Sky. Here’s how Aldis, who appeared on WWE’s The Bump, responded to her:

By the looks of it, Aldis thinks that Zelina has received her shot. Moreover, with the roster being full of several worthy superstars, he believes that the former LWO member has to do a lot more than ask him. He also clarified that he’s not against the idea but would like to see her work for it.

The result of this was a follow-up rant from Vega. The former Queen’s Crown Winner would quote how Raw’s General Manager, Adam Pearce, never had any doubts about her potential. Thus, she was awarded her shot against Rhea Ripley at Backlash 2023. She further heated the issue by calling it an excuse from Aldis, who is “unbelievably” denying her the opportunity.

Zelina Vega has come a long way in her WWE career. From managing Andrade Almas to working off big Premium Live Events like Backlash 2023, she has earned the respect of the WWE Universe. However, ever since Nick Aldis’ comments on WWE’s The Bump, she has been on a continuous rant about being denied the opportunity.

It seems Vega is disturbed by the attitude of Aldis. While displaying her anguish, she even went on to call out Rhea Ripley. Further, she quotes all her previous achievements at PLEs, like Backlash, Money in the Bank, and even suffering the tumultuous implosion of LWO.

All in all, Vega has been constantly claiming to be ready for any challenge. With such a sudden outburst from the former LWO member, it seems WWE is planning something interesting that might involve her. On the other hand, Aldis is dealing with a lot of questions around the Fatal-4-way Title Match at Royal Rumble. For now, fans are eager to see what Aldis’ immediate move will be after a volley of allegations of denying opportunity.
