Jax
Nia Jax belongs to one of the most iconic families in the professional wrestling industry. Coming from the Samoan wrestling family, she is a relative of the “People’s Champion” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Before her professional wrestling career kicked off with WWE in 2014, she was a plus-size model.
Debuting with the name of Zada, her in-ring name was soon changed to Nia Jax. While her stint on NXT wasn’t exactly impressive, Jax was introduced as a dominant force on the main roster. With the nickname of the “Irresistible Force” Jax debuted on the main roster in 2016. She kicked off a winning streak, before having feuds against the likes of Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss.
Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss to become the Raw Women’s Champion in 2018 at Wrestlemania 34. But soon lost the title back to Bliss, who successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract. She even went on to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship along with Shayna Baszler. But their alliance ended this year, and so did Jax’s WWE run.
Baszler turned on Jax and attacked her viciously on the steel steps. Post this episode, Nia Jax asked for some time off from WWE to cater to her mental health. But soon her release from the company was announced. In fact, it seems like Jax is done with the professional wrestling career. In a recent Q&A session on Instagram, a fan asked “What are you planning to do next since you’ve moved on from wrestling?”
To this the former Raw Women’s Champion replied, “Starting a business. Growing some cool things on my farm.” This makes it clear that Jax is starting her own venture and we might not see her back in action anytime soon.

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax were two of the most dominant Superstars of the women’s division. When they formed an unlikely Tag Team, the WWE Universe accepted it with open arms. The duo defeated Bayley and Sasha Banks at Payback 2020 to become the Tag Team Champions. They lost the title at TLC 2020 to Charlotte Flair and Asuka – only to win it back at Royal Rumble 2021.
They went from strength to strength, defeating every team that stood up to them – ultimately losing to Natalya and Tamina. But in September their alliance broke up after Baszler brutally attacked her. This went on to become her last appearance on WWE TV.
