WWE is constantly exploring new and creative ideas for their superstars. Many of these ideas never make it to TV. For instance, the Stamford-based promotion allegedly was planning something huge for Blair Davenport before her release, which would have given her a lot of TV time and a chance to stand out as a breakout superstar.
According to a report by Fightful, Davenport was recently brought to some SmackDown TV tapings. There were even discussions about her joining Chelsea Green and Piper Niven to form a new female faction on the blue brand. However, plans never fully came to light.
Davenport was reportedly set to portray a Secret Service agent. This is, of course, a nod to Green’s latest gimmick, where she claims to be the President of the United States. The Hot Mess adopted this character shortly after becoming the inaugural Women’s United States Champion and even got her own presidential seal to go along with it. Niven also played along, declaring herself the First Lady of the USA.

It got as far as a secret service outfit being prepared for Davenport, but had been delayed.

Some earlier reports had stated that WWE planned to utilize Davenport more after SmackDown got bumped up to three hours. Seeing her alongside highly entertaining characters like Green and Piper Niven would have surely been a treat. The company even had a secret service agent outfit prepared for her before plans got scrapped.
Blair Davenport breaks silence after being released from WWE
Blair Davenport was, unfortunately, a part of the latest round of WWE talent cuts. However, the 28-year-old seems to be taking it on the chin, as she is already hinting at her next move in the professional wrestling business. The British wrestler recently changed her X handle to “Bea Priestly” and tweeted out the words “Top Gaijin.” The official Stardom account also reposted this tweet.
For those unaware, Bea Priestly was Blair Davenport’s in-ring name during her time in WCPW and Stardom. She will likely be going back to this name when she joins a new wrestling promotion after her 90-day non-compete clause expires.

Gaijin is a Japanese term that loosely translates to an outsider. This term is often used for foreign-born wrestlers who perform in NJPW, Stardom, or other Japanese promotions. Furthermore, Top Gaijin was also Davenport’s nickname during her time in Japan. This was also the name of her AEW theme, where she wrestled for about a year.
